Coming back from a decent injury takes time and effort to do it right so you can come back fitter than ever, and it’s something that James Holmes is going through right now – his sponsors GT and Voyage Threads are holding tight for when the filming and the photos start coming through again. James is one of those guys who’ll be back on the game in no time – in the meantime, here’s a Bike Check while James has his feet up. Follow James on Instagram here.

What custom mods have you made to your bike?
No custom mods at the moment.
What’s the newest part on your bike?
The GT 4pc bars, I’ve never had 4pc bars before but they look and feel great.
What’s the oldest part on your bike – any part you just won’t change?
The Xposure seatpost and sprocket – Xposure doesn’t even exist any more, but I was part of their team through CSG and they’ve held up pretty good.
How often do you put together a new set-up?
Once or twice a year but due to recent injuries and not riding too much over the last year, my current setup has held up for quite a while.
How good are you at keeping the thing dialled?
Considering I used to work in a bike shop I could be better!
What else is new – what are you planning next?
I’ve just had an operation to fix my foot which I broke last year, so I’ve got to recover properly – then hopefully get a trip planned over the winter to get some filming done.
